It never turns out like you think it will...

So much has happened. Some good. Some annoying. Some really scary. And ALL lead to our financial ruin. YAY!

Because I'm lazy and I don't care about entertaining you guys anymore, I'm just going to give you a list:

1. We moved clear across town to Roseville. It's a semi nicer area. Pretty much it's the difference between people wanting to kill us because we're white, or people wanting to leer at me cause I'm female. I'd rather deal with the latter and that's pretty much what we moved into.

2. We got a puppy. She's cute, she's a puppy, blah blah blah. If you're thinking about getting a puppy, DON'T. Unless you have a yard or you like your neighbors thinking you beat your dog senseless then don't do it. She's been the biggest trial in my life. I have to admit, she's getting better, but I tell you what, I do NOT like dogs anymore. Such a bad financial decision. There is no love in this club.

3. Ryan started the academy and has been doing really well!

4. Ryan had a surprise appendectomy and now has to bow out of the academy. Recovery will take too long and all this happened right before the big test. It's the test that pretty much determines if you'll be weeded out or not. This is a bump in the road that puts some strain on our plans but we're doing all right. We're trying to figure it out best we can but it's a huge bummer. The next academy starts in October and the nice thing is that they'll just let him in because he already made it the first time. Anyway, apart from the academy stuff, the whole appendix thing was also a really scary day for both of us. Well, Ryan handled it well, but I was having mini panic attacks all day long. It was too scary contemplating losing him. But I am happy to report that he's doing swimmingly :) Thank GOODNESS.

5. I've gained 20 lbs and I can't blame it on pregnancy. *sigh*

6. We're so poor. I just got switched to part time at work because the office isn't producing as many sales as expected. THANKS for that dirt bags. (I know, I know, don't hold back. Tell us how you really feel. I WILL).

7. On the upside, our apartment is looking better. I started printing out our wedding photo's and cleaning things up a bit. I'm trying to make this damn apartment cute, and SPIRITUAL!

Anyway, that's all my news. It seems bleak but really? This isn't me being negative. This is called having a mortal experience. If you think about it, life is a lot like the market. It has a natural rise and fall. Right now things are rough but it doesn't mean it'll stay that way. But I must be honest, tonight I'm bummed.

Here's a song:

  1. Hey, my grandparents live in Roseville! If you run into some Crofts, that's them!
I hope life picks up for you Sally! Things will turn out right, you just need to have faith and do everything you're supposed to. We're feeling a little bit of the rough side. We don't know where we're going to live in a month, and I don't have a job yet for the fall. But things will turn out. Good luck with things Sally!

  2. That's the saddest, dang song I've ever heard! I hope you are having a better day today. I love how you always try to look forward with a "things will get better" attitude. There's just no other way to manage the crap, is there?? Andy says puppies are cute but that's it. You have to endure the silliness and teach the little fetcher how you want things to be and then you will have a real dog, someday. Hang in there, because, what else can you do, huh? Hahahaha! Love comin' your way. Mom

  3. Sounds like you need some puppy tips from us ;-) Sorry things have been so crazy, but you are right in saying that this is just life sometimes. We feel ya on the poor thing, but perhaps we can make our way out to Roseville sometime and say hi or save up to go to Costa Vida once. We miss you guys and are glad you know you're still alive ;-)
