Wedding Plans

So what do you guys think of the new background? It's pretty much the old background but without the Happy Thanksgiving which makes me feel slightly better about myself. Anyway, I like the flowers.
You know, it's strange. I never thought that wedding planning would be hard. In my head my plan was to forget about the reception, do a luncheon and RUN. But plans kind of change when you've got moms and dads and brothers and sisters and everyone giving their two cents. Weddings seem to be such a big deal. I feel like I have to force myself to care about 'center pieces' and what type of flowers I want and my COLORS when all I really want to do is just get married. Weddings have become such a performance and even more of a hassle! My good friend Abbie told me to just relax and give in, because fighting it isn't worth it and there's a part of me that completely agrees. Unfortunately, the Workman in me is battling against that logic with a middle finger and a screw you. Knowing me, Abbie's logic will win over and I'll just grin and bear it cause in all honesty the performance doesn't last forever.

So I did make at least a few decisions about the flowers though. After having a moderately severe break down I found these. The only problem with these is that the purple color only comes in the baby lillies AND they sometimes look black because the purple is so dark.

These ones aren't too bad. They're the PERFECT color of dark purple.

Okay, I'm done with griping about the wedding. Let's talk about happy things. Let's talk about how Ryan is coming in 10 days! YAY! Let's talk about how my Wedding Shower is on Wednesday! OR about how I have bridals on the 17th. These are all very happy things. Let's also share a super cute picture of me and my mom and my sister.

You can't beat that beauty. Like mother like daughter! (Or is it the other way around?)

Okay, well I'm watching Emma right now at Abbie's house so I'm going to peace out.

Happy thought of the day: I rediscovered my love of the Jackie and Debra videos. I also woke up before 10 AM which was very important as I was feeling like a serious schlub since I moved home. My last happy thought is that we FINALLY sent out invitations today! Before I sent them I texted Ryan and asked, "You sure you still want to marry me?" He promptly answered, "Well....ya I guess," which is pretty much like saying, "I love you...sort of." Don't worry, he was joking. We're still in love and still getting married.

Annoyance of the day: Ryan isn't here. Also I don't have jewelry or accessories or even shoes for my wedding dress...still...

  1. I love your "annoyance of the day". Everyone needs one of those.
