I'm Pretty Lucky, Really...

I'm going to Hell. The swearwords I have uttered this night alone as I attempted to edit my blog will send me straight there. Luckily, my good friend Kat was up as late as me tonight and was more than willing to give me a couple of tips. With how long it took me to change my background, find a photo I like and everything else, things will most likely stay like this forever. Ryan and I will be fifty and we will still have this picture up. Jeese.

Anyway, so as odd as it seemed to me, I actually had a desire to blog tonight. Not out of duty, or obligation. It was just because I wanted to. Lucky for all you who are just DYING to know what I do with my life, right? Oh ho, me...

The main reason I felt a need to blog is because so many good things are happening for me and Ryan right now. Incredible blessings and opportunities are just pouring out and at times it's been a little overwhelming. The biggest blessing that I get to rediscover every day is that I get to battle life with the most courageous man I know. And I don't feel like a 'starry eyed soon to be married woman' when I say this because, Ryan and I have already faced many battles together and each time we have made it through. The most comforting thing? Knowing that the Lord was on our side and that we were on His.

Forget the wedding dress, and the cake. Forget the invites, and expensive decorations and venues. Strip all that away because it's not about the wedding. It's about the marriage. Though things will most definitely get rough at times, I can't imagine a better friend and a better future husband than him.

Happy thought of the day: I got to wear my leopard print cardigan today!

Annoyance of the day: My dad laughed at it. What the?...Also, I just realized that the new background that took me AGES to figure out how to put up says Happy Thanksgiving. *exasperated face*

  1. Yes, but you love Thanksgiving! And it's kind of symbolic because that's what seems to be your theme on this blog... You should leave it.
